Local scanning

AppUnwind reads bundle metadata and bounded app-support locations on your Mac to create an evidence review. If you enable Full Disk Access, macOS expands which requested locations are readable. The permission does not send data to Trieflow and does not change AppUnwind’s protected-path or shared-resource rules.

Quarantine and receipts

Approved files move to an AppUnwind quarantine on your Mac. Receipts contain application identity, candidate paths with the home prefix abbreviated where presented, evidence reasons, decisions, operation outcomes, retention dates, and content digests. Restore reads those local receipts. Trieflow cannot view or remotely restore them.

Activation and updates

The planned Lifetime Pro activation service will receive the minimum purchase and license identifiers needed to issue a signed local token. It will not receive the list of installed apps or removed files. A manual offline activation path is a release requirement. Optional update checks will not include scan content.

Website

The canonical website contains no ad network, behavioral analytics, or third-party tracking pixel. Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request metadata for delivery, abuse prevention, and security. The release-note link opens your email client; no address is collected until you send a message.

Support

If you contact Trieflow LLC, the company receives the email address and information you choose to provide. Do not send private file contents or a complete app inventory by default. Use minimal diagnostic labels and receipt excerpts only after reviewing them.
